Position Overview

The Plant Engineer is responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to the station’s Asset Integrity and Strategic Maintenance (AISM) program, in accordance with procedure OPM-017. This role supports long-term equipment reliability, risk mitigation, and maintenance planning by managing performance against AISM Key Performance Indicators and leading condition-based assessments and planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Program Compliance & Performance

• Ensure station-wide adoption and adherence to OPM-017: Asset Integrity and Strategic Maintenance procedure.
• Monitor and drive station performance in alignment with AISM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Critical Equipment Oversight

• Develop and maintain a site-specific critical equipment list and associated maintenance checklists.
• Track and document overhaul intervals for all critical equipment.
• Gather equipment history from various internal data sources.
• Conduct interviews with operations and maintenance personnel to gather operational insights.
• Integrate critical equipment data from APM-360 and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
• Review external data resources and assess potential third-party support options.

Condition Assessment & Risk Management

• Perform condition assessments on critical equipment.
• Maintain and update Equipment Risk Registers to support a 5-Year Plan focused on equipment reliability and performance improvement.
• Identify risks and ensure Risk Registers reflect all mitigation actions, including planned projects and corrective measures.

Project Development & Planning Integration

• Leverage the AISM Risk Register to:
• Collaborate with station stakeholders and external experts to develop PowerSam Forecast Risk projects.
• Work with project leads to ensure all projects include detailed scopes of work and use firm bids/quotes for budgeting purposes—especially for projects within a 1–2 year horizon.
• Coordinate with the Station Outage Manager and Outage Management Team to align projects with scheduled outages and ensure proper inclusion in outage planning.
