Lead Journeyman Electrician / Crew Lead (Industrial Project Manager – Certified)
Location: Onsite at Industrial Production Plant in Port Arthur
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10–12 hours/day; Saturdays as needed
Per Diem: $130/day
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Journeyman Electrician / Crew Lead to manage and execute electrical and communications installations at an active industrial production facility. This individual will serve as the on-site lead, overseeing a crew of 10–20 electricians and technicians, while ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely execution of all phases of work.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of an on-site crew (10–20 personnel).
Serve as the primary point of contact between field crew, Goltens Houston, and the client’s site representatives.
Attend and participate in all client safety meetings and daily briefings.
Complete and submit daily reports, JSAs (Job Safety Analyses), and timekeeping documentation.
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and job specifications.
Oversee installation, termination, and testing of:
Telecom, PAGA, CCTV, Beacons, Speakers, Fire & Gas Sensors (120V or lower)
Fiber optic cable: installation, splicing, fanout kits, patch panels, and testing
Signal cable and Cat6: installation, terminations, and verification testing
Manage physical cable tasks, including pulling, banding, labeling, and tray installation.
Direct installation of junction boxes, control panels, security equipment, and related infrastructure.
Ensure preparation and routing of both power and signal cables.
Maintain accurate as-builts and collaborate with QA/QC teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
Journeyman or Master Electrician License (must be current and valid)
Proven experience leading industrial electrical installation teams in a plant or production environment
Competency with safety and compliance documentation (JSAs, daily logs, client reports)
Strong working knowledge of:
Low-voltage systems (?120V)
Fiber optics, Cat6, fire & gas detection, and telecom systems
Effective communication skills with team members, supervisors, and client personnel
Willingness to work extended hours and Saturdays as project needs dictate
The pay range for this role is $46-50/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
