Per Sé Group is hiring a I & E Turnaround Coordinator for a long-term contract at our client’s petroleum refinery in Washington State near Seattle. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective planning and execution of turnaround activities related to instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in instrumentation with substantial planning experience, and will be adept at using SAP for project management.
This refinery is set in a stunning location and has a total crude oil capacity of 119,000 barrels per day. Safety is of paramount importance to our client, and it’s proven in the recognition and accolades they’ve received such as multiple AFPM Safety Awards. $143/day per diem. Mobilization and Demobilization provided (mileage at the IRS rate).
Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive turnaround plans for instrumentation systems, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task prioritization.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to identify and address instrumentation needs and challenges.
• Utilize SAP to manage planning activities, track progress, and generate reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards during turnaround activities.
• Oversee the procurement and availability of necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to facilitate smooth turnaround processes.
• Monitor and adjust plans as needed to accommodate unforeseen issues or changes in project scope.
• Document all planning activities and maintain detailed records for future reference and audits.
Preferred Qualifications
• One or multiple accreditations in trade school, state license, specialize certifications, etc.
• Strong experience with integrating SAP planning with P-6 schedules.
• Must be able to read and understand Engineering Electrical drawings, P&ID’s, loops, schematics and one lines, Isometrics, to work with project planners to produce a plan for construction which would be integrated into a P-6 schedule.
• Understand project specifications and ensure proper field installations.
• Commissioning and checkout
• Computer proficient.
• Good communications skills.
• At least 7 years of experience in instrumentation, with a minimum of 3 years in a planning role.
• Must be willing to work days or nights.
