We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the energy sector, particularly in developing and managing contracts for large capital construction and engineering projects. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of change orders, and proven negotiation skills to ensure that contractual obligations are met and that our selected contractors adhere to established KPIs and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts for large capital construction and engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Ensure all contracts align with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, holding contractors accountable to KPIs and deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of change orders and amendments, ensuring proper documentation and justification.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on contract management best practices.
  • Foster strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present reports on contract status, performance metrics, and potential issues to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in contract management within the energy sector, specifically with large capital construction and engineering projects.
  • Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts from inception to execution.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, compliance regulations, and industry standards.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
