Summary
Per Se Group has a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Plant Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity in Indiana. The Assistant Manager works directly with the Plant Manager by overseeing all technical activities & staff while working collaboratively with leadership to help drive initiatives for plant efficiency, safety, and overall functionality.
Responsibilities
- Lead proactive safety initiatives at the station to enhance the safety culture, promoting overall safety awareness and compliance.
- Provide technical support for the Process Safety Management Program, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Act as the station's Technical Authority, offering expertise and guidance on technical matters.
- Offer strategic technical direction to the Station’s Management Team, actively contributing to the station’s success by developing, implementing, managing, and communicating the technical plan.
- Direct the technical team to achieve business targets outlined in the annual station plan, operating goals, and projects, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee engineering activities for completion of capital and O&M projects, ensuring profitability and meeting current and future plant needs, while also supporting thermal performance activities and environmental compliance efforts.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred. A Professional Engineer’s license is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in power plant operations / maintenance, power plant engineering or field service is required. Five years of managerial / supervisory experience is required.
