Per Sé Group is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to oversee implementation and management of EHS standards and procedures at a 600 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Golden Valley, Arizona. Responsibilities
- Must be knowledgeable in Federal and specific State and Local Environmental Regulations specifically the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act, Environmental Planning and Community Right to Know Act etc.
- Perform oversight and compliance for the implementation of all necessary federal and state environmental permit requirements, including development and preparation of reports to Federal and State, Municipal and local regulatory agencies and implementing procedures, guidance, and aids to facilitate compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and administrative support to ensure compliance with Federal and State, Municipal and local regulations that pertain to employee and contractor health and safety. Develop and maintain safety and health programs in compliance with federal, state, municipal and local regulations.
- Develop, implement, and complete improvement plans to support initiatives to reach top performance in safety and environmental fields.
- Participate in accident/incident investigations, EH&S audits, regulatory inspections, and other components of the Environmental, Health and Safety System. Conduct incident investigations.
- Develop, prepare, and maintain records of reports to Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.?
Preferred Skills and Expertise
- BS in Engineering, Environmental Science or Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred in a power plant setting.
- Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA and applicable federal and state environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, municipal and local environmental, safety and fire protection requirements relevant to the operation of a power plant.
- Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and Data Acquisition and Handling Systems (DAHS).
- Training in Environmental Compliance or management; CHMM or engineering professional certification (EIT or PE); Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals or American Board of Industrial Hygiene.
