This leader in energy operations is seeking a Maintenance Manager for an advanced energy center near Morris, IL. This state-of-the-art facility utilizes the latest natural gas and steam technologies, contributing to the efficient generation of power while minimizing environmental impact.
The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, working directly under the Plant Manager and leading a team of five. The role focuses on ensuring both preventative and corrective maintenance are carried out efficiently, while maintaining the highest safety standards. Ideal candidates should have a strong technical background, leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring a safe work environment through proper tools, equipment, and training.
- Managing day-to-day plant maintenance to meet operational goals.
- Building and leading a cross-trained, skilled maintenance team.
- Overseeing inventory management for spare parts, consumables, and maintenance materials.
- Managing maintenance planning for routine and outage operations.
- Ensuring comprehensive work scopes and adherence to safety protocols.
- Handling maintenance agreements, contracts, and budgetary approvals.
- Responding to emergencies and forced outages on a 24/7 basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of experience in power generation or similar industries, with a preference for combined cycle plants.
- Proven leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and gas/steam technologies.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various plant environments.
- Valid driver’s license required for on-site travel.
