We are seeking an experienced Owner's Representative to oversee the decommissioning of a utility-scale wind farm. This role will focus primarily on safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols throughout the decommissioning process. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with crane operations, work at heights, and confined space environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the owner and contractors during the decommissioning process.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Review and approve safety plans and risk assessments related to crane picks and other high-risk activities.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols for work at heights and confined spaces.
  • Collaborate with contractors to develop and implement effective decommissioning strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance to personnel on safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance reports.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and safety expectations.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses, driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications:
  • Strong background in safety management, particularly related to crane operations, work at heights, and confined spaces.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Certifications (preferred):
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certification.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Training.
  • Competent Person Certification for Work at Heights and Confined Spaces.
