Summary 

We are seeking a Pre-Construction Manager with experience in estimating/estimations. This role will provide professional pre-construction project management support to clients. Responsible for all aspects of a project, focusing on pre-construction estimating through through to delivery of construction. Guide clients through projects by giving them the information to make informed, intelligent decisions. Work in collaboration with management staff, clients, owners, and vendors. Assist in the development of a high performing innovative Pre-Construction team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary client contact, guiding them through all stages of pre-construction and project delivery.
  • Lead the estimation process, including developing accurate quantity take-offs and cost projections.
  • Oversee the preparation of pre-contract pricing, ensuring all bids are accurate and aligned with project goals.
  • Coordinate sub-trade bidding, review proposals, and ensure comprehensive and competitive pricing.
  • Maintain financial communication with clients throughout design, ensuring alignment with budgets.
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and ensure sufficient trade quotes.
  • Oversee cost management, including change orders, to maintain profitability.
  • Manage project schedules, meetings, and deliverables while ensuring client satisfaction post-handoff.
  • Prepare progress reports and manage multiple pre-construction projects concurrently.
  • Travel to project sites as needed for site assessments and coordination.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in pre-construction estimating, including quantity take-offs and cost management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, Smart Sheet, Autodesk (ACAD, Revit), ProEst, and RSMeans.
  • Strong understanding of design processes, value engineering, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with construction estimating, pre-construction project management, and budgeting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
  • CPE, PMP, LEED Accreditation, and Virtual Design experience are a plus.
