Position Overview:
Per Se Group is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations on the job site for ground-up construction projects, including industrial, commercial, distribution, and logistics centers. The Construction Superintendent will manage all field activities, including coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for assigned projects, from groundbreaking to completion.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, inspections, and deliveries to ensure smooth site operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Review project plans and blueprints, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Conduct regular site meetings with the project management team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, addressing any delays or cost overruns as needed.
- Ensure that materials and equipment are on-site as required to avoid project delays.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Report project progress to the Project Manager and participate in regular project review meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably with industrial, commercial, distribution, or logistics center projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and teams on-site.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address on-site challenges.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and clients.
