Per Se is working with one of the largest Civil Engineering firms in Texas. With over 50 offices across the nation, they are looking to expand their Water Division. The Water Division VP oversees the water and wastewater division, spearheading business development, managing a team of experts, and guiding water/wastewater projects within North Texas. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, project design, quality control, and issue resolution. The Director will ensure product designs align with company goals, work closely with management, and establish systems to maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships and expand the water/wastewater sector in the public domain.
- Formulate intermediate and long-term strategic plans for the water/wastewater division.
- Drive business development by marketing to existing and prospective clients.
- Support technical aspects of business development, including RFP and SOQ responses, presentation preparations, and coordinating office efforts.
- Oversee the quality assurance program for project outputs within the division.
- Supervise the project team’s performance on assigned tasks.
- Provide expertise in collaborative delivery methods to both internal and external clients.
- Conduct needs assessments and client value surveys to align the engineering function with business and project goals, identifying and addressing any skill gaps or risks.
- Act as the division’s primary representative to various external entities such as Federal, State, and Local Agencies, Clients, Subcontractors, industry groups, and community organizations.
- Manage a team providing water/wastewater expertise to public and private projects.
- Regularly prepare reports and advise senior management on the division’s activities.
- Participate in quarterly Operations Meetings with Sector Leaders, the President, and the Business Solutions team.
- Engage actively in professional associations and community organizations.
Required Education/Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Required Experience:
- 10 years of experience as a practice leader and business developer.
- 15 years of experience in public infrastructure planning and design.
- Familiarity with the North Texas region.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
